That means there are only a few chances to choose music for the astronauts’ wake-up calls. Normally, that music is selected by family and friends of the astronauts. But, for the end of the shuttle program, NASA is throwing it open to the public.

You can vote on any one of NASA’s top 40. Those are NASA favorites that were used to wake up astronauts.

Over the weekend, a golfer's routine swing in the rough at the Shady Canyon Golf Course in Irvine, Calif., struck a rock. Not so different from the way you play, right? Only this time, the impact caused a spark, and the spark set off a blaze that eventually covered 25 acres, according to the Steven Buck, General Manager of Shady Canyon Golf Course, and required the efforts of 150 Orange County firefighters, writes the Associated Press.

Wow. And I felt bad the time I shanked a ball through the window of a house too close to the fairway. That was nothing compared to this!

The golfer's name is being withheld, which is probably for the best, and no charges are going to be filed. Fortunately, it all could have been much worse. As it was, the blaze required both helicopters and on-the-ground crews.

The conditions were ripe for a blaze, with dry brush from a recent heat wave just waiting for the right spark. Like, say, one caused by metal on rock.

Snooki's boyfriend of two weeks, Jeff Miranda, proposes on the cover of New Jersey tabloid 'Steppin' Out.' Radaronline.com has the photo and excerpts from the interview.

"I want us to be together forever," Jeff reportedly tells the magazine. "I could see us having children. I want to pop the question to her. If we got married we would be the best parents around. She's so loving and puts everyone else before her self. She'll be a great mother."

The 24-year-old Iraq veteran has a history of domestic violence as one of his exes was granted a restraining order after he allegedly beat and threatened to kill her. Jeff claims he is proposing to Snooki out of love, not a quest for fame.

"I will never break her heart," he says. "She's such a great girl. If people could see us together they would think we're a match made in heaven. People think I'm using her for fame. But that's bullsh*t."

Snooki has yet to respond to the public proposal.

Jake Owen just shot the video for his new single, 'Tell Me,' and being in front of the camera is something he would like to do more of, especially on the big screen.

"I'd like to do that," Jake tells The Boot. "I don't have any problem being in front of a camera and just having a good time. That would be cool, but it would have to be the right thing. Not cheesy, but cool. I'd have to be pretty cool."

With his movie star good looks, Jake could play any number of roles, but as he says, it would have to be a "cool" character. "For instance, Johnny Depp is cool," says the Florida native. "He can do the dude from 'Pirates of the Caribbean,' or 'Edward Scissorhands,' or he could be the guy from 'What's Eating Gilbert Grape?' and 'Donnie Brasco,' or he was the guy in 'Blow.' I could [play] any of those guys."
