"WE ARE THE WORLD 25" DEBUTS TO MIXED REVIEWS
The new all-star 25th anniversary version of "We Are the World," designed to raise money for quake-raved Haiti, debuted on Friday during the Opening Ceremonies of the Winter Olympics to mixed reviews. Remarked Curt Wagner in Chicago Now's Red Eye blog, "All the Auto-Tuned BS from T-Pain, Lil' Wayne, Akon and Justin Bieber sounds ridiculous next to real voices of Jennifer Hudson, Celine Dion, Pink and Barbra Streisand." Even rapper Jay-Z called the original "untouchable," but noted the new version is a "valiant effort."

Taylor Swift and Gloriana are in the midst of their Aussie leg of the Fearless Tour. It seems to be going rather well. What an amazing opportunity for Gloriana to be playing sold-out shows all over the world with Taylor.
The line-up of the performers taking part in the new recording ranged from Keri Hilson and Miley Cyrus to Keith Urban, Josh Groban, Reba McEntire, Sugarland, Julianne Hough, Zac Brown Band and Carlos Santana. Though many stars chose to participate, several others did not. Taylor Swift, for example, could not join due to her scheduling conflict, while Lady GaGa reportedly turned down the invitation.

Keith Urban and wife Nicole Kidman sang and performed a little song parody for fellow Aussie,Simon Baker, at the G’day USA dinner celebrating Aussies who impact the USA. The tune was sung to the Men at Work classic “Down Under.”
“His name is Simon Baker,” they sang to laughs in the crowd.
“Surfer dude. Home renovator. He was bound to be a Hollywood player.”
This may be the ONLY time we see Keith and Nicole do a duet, and it’s a funny treat indeed.
