Carrie Underwood Replacing Katy On ‘Idol’

Carrie Underwood will replace Katy Perry as judge on American Idol.   According to Variety, ABC is expected to announce the news on August 1  The outlet adds that the singer has returned to the show several times since competing as both a mentor and a performer.  She first won the show in 2005.
