Loretta Lynn, daughter of a Kentucky coal miner which she turn into the iconic song “Coal Miner’s Daughter” passed away today at the age of 90. She died in her home at Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.

“Our precious mom, Loretta Lynn, passed away peacefully this morning, October 4th, in her sleep at home in her beloved ranch in Hurricane Mills,” the family said in a statement.
