New Orleans Woman Gives Birth On Same Day as College Graduation, Receives Hospital Room Ceremony

Jada Sayles will never forget her graduation from college.  She has a baby boy to make sure of that.  Just a few hours before Sayles was set to graduate from Dillard University in New Orleans on Saturday — she went into labor.  She posted pics of her newborn on Twitter with the caption: “I thought I was gonna walk across the stage to get my degree, instead I got my baby.”  Since Sayles couldn’t attend her ceremony, the school decided to bring the ceremony to her.  Dillard University’s president came to the hospital to present the new mom with her criminal justice degree as she wore her cap and gown.
