Jack Stewart’s Wife Has Stood By Him Through the Navy, Southwest, and Now Book Tours
Retired Navy TOPGUN pilot and 23-year fighter pilot Jack Stewart joins Beyond the Mic to talk about taking over Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan Jr. series with his new book, Tom Clancy Pressure Depth.
Stewart explains why he chose an underwater story over another cockpit thriller, what getting scuba certified taught him about the psychology of deep sea divers, and how writing Master Diver Carla Bennett let him explore a Navy that’s changed since he first put on a uniform. He also talks candidly about the moment he found out he’d been asked to audition for the job, the 23 years of always chasing the next mission that still shapes how he decompresses today, and why he still doesn’t feel like he belongs in the same category as the writers who came before him in the Ryanverse.
Tom Clancy Pressure Depth is out now, wherever books are sold and at jackstewartbooks.com.
Beyond the Mic with Sean Dillon is the conversation series where actors, artists, authors, and more go deeper than a traditional interview. They go “Beyond the Mic”.
