Star Guard Pop Issacs has entered the transfer portal

Lubbock, Texas – Guard Pop Issacs and forward Robert Jennings have officially entered the transfer portal. 

Pop Issacs was Tech’s leading scorer with 15.8 points per game. Robert Jennings averaged 4.4 points per game. 

Emerging star Darrion Williams, guard for the Red Raiders had a breakout year averaging 11.4 points per game and 7.5 rebounds per game.

The Red Raiders are hoping to keep Williams with Guard Devin Cambridge announcing he is coming back to the Red Raiders for the 2024 season.

Forward Warren Washington is graduating and leaving the Red Raiders, which leads the backcourt for the Red Raiders vulnerable. 

The Red Raiders went (23-11, 11-7 BIG 12) and were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by NC State. 

With a new season upcoming, the Red Raiders are hoping to bounce back and have breakout seasons from Devin Cambridge, Darrion Williams and Chance McMillian. 

The Red Raiders have high hopes for the 2024-2025 season with Coach McCasland going into his second full year with the Red Raiders.
