The Lubbock Matadors Soccer Club proudly announces the appointment of Brandon Misuraca as its new Head Coach, effective immediately. Misuraca brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to community-based soccer to the Matadors. Misuraca will take over immediately following the participation of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup that is being coached by Paul Gilbert.

In accepting the position, Misuraca  expressed his enthusiasm for the opportunity to lead the club into its third year. He stated, “I’m honored to be joining this amazing community-based club going into year 3. Having gotten a chance to take in a home match and meet with supporters, it speaks volumes to what this club means to the community and vice versa. I look forward to this opportunity to build and manage a group that can proudly represent Lubbock on the regional and national stage.”

General Manager Dustin McCorkle echoed Misuraca ‘s sentiments, emphasizing the importance of continuity and shared vision in the club’s leadership. McCorkle stated, “The addition and hiring of Coach Misuraca will continue the momentum the club has seen in our first two years, so going into our 3rd year it is most important that we hire a coach that understands our foundation, principles and what it means to lead this organization on and off the field. Brandon Misuraca has the attributes that meet the mission of the club in the community and the vision for the athletes we want representing the badge. His commitment is being a year-round representative of the Lubbock Matadors, and drive to be a top-level coach will be a great addition to the team. We are proud to welcome him as the club’s 2nd Head Coach in our history.”

Misuraca brings with him a strong coaching background and a passion for developing talent both on and off the field. His leadership is expected to further elevate the Matadors as they continue to make their mark in the soccer community.
