On Thursday, March 28, 2024, Mayor Tray Payne and the Lubbock Apartment Association will present High Point Village with a check from the money raised at the 42nd Annual State of the City address in February.

Every year a portion of the proceeds from the State of the City address goes to a charity chosen by the mayor. Over the past 40 years, the Lubbock Apartment Association has donated around $300,000 to local charities picked by the mayor.

High Point Village creates a place where individuals with special needs can live, learn, work, worship, and achieve their full potential. High Point Village enriches the lives of individuals with special needs by providing a variety of pre-vocational, educational, social, and motivational programs and activities.

Thursday’s check presentation will take place at 2:45 p.m. at High Point Village, located at 6223 County Road 6300.
