ABILENE, Texas – The Texas Tech track team wrapped up its weekend competing at the Wes Kittley Invite hosted by ACU at Elmer Gray Stadium Saturday afternoon.

 

Konner Wood represented the men’s throws in the hammer section as he opened his season with a toss of 58.53m (192-0). In the men’s 800m, Edward Rush ran his first collegiate 800m outdoors as he posted a time of 1:52.23 to come in first. Gideon Kiplimo placed second with a season-opener of 1:52.56.

 

The women’s pole vault group was paced by Olivia Cade in first with a height of 4.00m (13-1 ½). Field Gatlin led the women’s shot put crew with a first-place throw of 14.97m (49-1 ½). Trey Wilson III debuted in the event outdoors throwing 16.56m (54-4).
